For the first time in years, Elitch will not open this summer due to the coronavirus pandemic. In a news release on Friday, the amusement park announced it will postpone its th-anniversary celebration to and remain closed through the summer, despite its best efforts to reopen with safety precautions. The release said management spent months working with government officials but did not receive final approval to reopen.
